We celebrate โ€˜ฯ€โ€™ , eating pie.

Pi Day is an annual celebration of mathematical constant โ€˜ฯ€โ€™. This day is observed on March 14. That date means three significant digits of ฯ€ (3, 1, 4). It was founded in 1988 by Larry Shaw who worked as employee of the Exploratorium in San Francisco, California. The celebrations involve eating pie or pi recitation competition. In 2009, the United States of Representatives supported the designation of Pi Day. Then, in November 2019, UN designated Pi Day as the international Day of Mathematics.

The entire month of March 2014 (3/14) was called โ€œPi Monthโ€, and there was a day called โ€œSuper Pi Dayโ€ in March 14, 2015. Because the date written as 3/14/15 in month/day/year format had special significance. At the 9:26:53, the date and the time represented the first digits of ฯ€.

Also, on March 14, Albert Einstein was born, so his hometown, Princeton, New Jersey, hosts numerous events.
