World Cancer Day is an international day designated February 4 to raise awareness about cancer and to promote the prevention, detection and treatment of cancer.
World Cancer Day was created by the International Coalition for the Control of Cancer (UICC) to support the goals of the World Cancer Declaration, drafted in 2008. The main goal of World Cancer Day is to significantly reduce disease and death caused by cancer and it is an opportunity to unite the international community to end the injustice suffering from preventable cancer. It is a day set by the United Nations. World Cancer Day targets misinformation, raises awareness and reduces stigma. On World Cancer Day, we support people suffering from cancer.
