🇺🇸3/1 - National Pig Day

In the United States, March 1st is a day to celebrate pigs that help people a lot.

Since 1972, most of the Midwestern United States has celebrated March 1 as National Pig Day in honor of its beloved pig. National Pig Day includes events held at zoos, schools, nursing homes, and sporting events across the United States. A pink ribbon is tied to a tree in honor of the pig, with a pig party featuring the pink pig punch and pork delicacies. The purpose of this holiday is to recognize pigs as one of the most helpful and wise domestic animals, although not generally recognized.
