Maroon 5 is a pop rock band from Los Angeles, California, United States. Original members Levin and Carmichael, bassist Mickey Madden, and drummer Ryan Dusik were together in high school in 1994. Maroon 5 originally started with the name 'Kara's Flower'. In 1997 they released their fourth world album. The album's response was not good, so the members concentrated on college. In 2001 the band went in a different direction and reappeared as Maroon 5 with the addition of guitarist Valentine. The band released their debut album, Songs About Jane, in June 2002. This album was well received. Since then, as the members have changed, numerous masterpieces such as Suga, This Love, and One More Night were born.
