Teacher's Day in Thailand is January 16 every year. In Thai, it's called ‘วันครู(wanwaikru)’. And each school holds a big celebration. Reflecting on Buddhist culture, students bow to their teachers and hand over handmade flowers made with respect. The teacher who received the flower ties the white thread to the student's wrist in response. Also, Teacher's Day is not a public holiday in Thailand.
