Sejong the Great was the fourth ruler of the Joseon Dynasty of Korea.
Sejong profoundly affected Korean history with his personal creation of “Hangul”. This was assumed Sejong ordered to invent it. However, Preface to the 'Hunminjeongeum Haerye' emphasize that he invented it himself. He made it for the people.
He also enacted many laws for the people, so people always respected him.
With this, He is usually nominated top of the respected great by Korean people.
