Parasite is a South Korean black comedy suspense film. At the 73rd British Academy Film Awards, it was nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Foreign Language Film, winning Best Original Screenplay and Best Foreign Language Film. It became the first Korean film to be nominated for Best International Film at the 92nd Academy Awards. The film was well received by critics and won four awards: Best Picture, Best International Film, Best Director, and Best Screenplay, making it the first non-English film to win Best Picture at an awards ceremony.
