National Tree Planting Day in Iran is an annual festival in which trees are celebrated and people are encouraged to plant and take care of them within the Republic of Iran in all its cities and suburbs.

In Iran, National Tree Planting Day commemorates trees and encourages people to plant and care for them and protect the vegetation cover and forests of Iran. Iranians celebrate Arbor Day by planting trees to protect greenery and natural forests. This idea stems from an ancient religious practice. According to history, the ancient Iranians celebrated this day as a special occasion, planting trees and respecting the land and plantings. The celebration of this day begins on March 6, which is celebrated as Natural Resources Week, and Iranians plant plants and trees throughout their parks, forests and cities on this day. Choosing "Arbor Day" in the Republic of Iran, in addition to protecting natural forests, aims to increase green space, plant artificial forests to restore natural forests, pay more attention to and protect plantings, restore green spaces and plant new spaces.
