Chelsea Football Club, often referred to a English football. Chelsea are amongĀ England's most successful clubs, having won over thirty competitive honors, including six League titles and nine international trophies. Their home sĀ Chelsea, is an English professionalĀ footballĀ club based inĀ Fulham,Ā West London. Founded in 1905, the club competes in theĀ Premier League, the top division ofĀ ground isĀ Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea won their first major honor, theĀ League championship, inĀ 1955. The club won theĀ FA CupĀ for the first time inĀ 1970Ā and their first European honor, theĀ Cup Winners' Cup, inĀ 1971. After a period of decline in the late 1970s and 1980s, the club enjoyed a revival in the 1990s, enjoying more success in several cup competitions. The past twenty-five years have been the most successful in Chelsea's history: they have won fiveĀ Premier LeagueĀ titles, sevenĀ FA Cups, fourĀ League Cups, twoĀ UEFA Champions LeagueĀ titles, twoĀ UEFA Europa LeagueĀ titles, twoĀ UEFA Super Cups, and oneĀ FIFA Club World 9CupĀ during this period. Chelsea are one ofĀ five clubsĀ to have won all three of UEFA's main club competitions, being the first English club to achieve the UEFA treble. They are also the only London club to have won the Champions League and the Club World Cup, and the only club to have won all three major European competitions twice.
