Agatha Christie is an English author known for her 66 detective novels and a collection of 14 short stories, particularly centered on the detectives Hercules Hercules Poirot and Miss Marple. She also wrote six novels and the world's longest running play The Mousetrap, which performed in the West End from 1952 to 2020. In 1971 she became Dame for her contribution to literature. Guinness World Records Christie is the best-selling novelist of all time, with her novels sold more than 2 billion copies. Agatha Christie, a passionate writer, died on January 12, 1976 at her home at the age of 85.
