Joan of Arc is a national hero of France and a saint of the Roman Catholic Church. Also known as the Maiden of Orléans. Born in Dongremy, northeastern France, the daughter of a farmer. After receiving a revelation from an angel to save France, he participated in the Hundred Years' War. He led the French army to victories on several occasions, helping Charles VII to be crowned king of France. After Cauchon declared her guilty, she was burned at the stake on 30 May 1431, dying at about 19 years of age.
